Sight and hearing were the only senses remaining, and they, like two solitary sparks, remained to animate the miserable body which seemed fit for nothing but the grave;───只剩下了视觉和听觉，在他这个看来只配到坟墓里去的可怜的躯壳里，只有这两样器官给他添上了一点生气，象是一炉死灰里的两处尚存的孤独的火光；
